Version 1.0 · Effective August 23, 2026

This Privacy Notice explains the information DemoSignal collects, how it is used, when it is shared, and the choices available to customers and website visitors.

1. Information you provide

We may collect your name, business name, business email, phone number, account credentials, service area, container sizes, accepted materials, project preferences, capacity, existing-account suppressions, feedback, dispositions, support messages, and other information you choose to provide.

Stripe collects and processes payment details for DemoSignal. DemoSignal does not store full payment card numbers.

2. Information collected through use

We may collect device and browser information, IP address, login and security events, pages viewed, feature use, recommendation interactions, referral information, and diagnostic logs. We may use necessary cookies or similar technology for authentication, security, preferences, and service operation.

3. Public and business information

DemoSignal processes public project, permit, licensing, property, organization, and business-contact information from government sources and public business websites. This may include contractor names, business roles, business phone numbers, websites, licenses, project addresses, and project events.

We may also process and summarize same-address, close-in-time public permit matches between contractors, project sites, and hauling operators. A permit match does not prove a direct vendor relationship, preferred vendor, or current assignment.

We do not intend to enrich recommendations with private personal phone numbers or private personal email addresses.

4. How information is used

We may use information to operate and secure accounts, configure recommendations, rank and suppress accounts, provide source-backed project profiles, send requested service and billing messages, process payments, support customers, correct records, measure performance, prevent abuse, comply with law, and improve the service.

Automated tools may assist with normalization, classification, and drafting. Hard evidence and customer-fit rules are not intended to be overridden solely by generated text.

5. How information is shared

We may share information with service providers that support hosting, authentication, payment processing, email delivery, security, analytics, customer support, and professional advice. They may use information only for the services they provide to us, subject to their agreements.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights and safety, investigate abuse, complete a business transaction, or act with your direction or consent.

DemoSignal does not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

6. Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, preserve source and correction history, maintain security and audit records, meet tax, accounting, and legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods differ by record type and may continue after an account closes when a legitimate business or legal need remains.

7. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed for the nature of the information we handle. No system can guarantee absolute security. Customers are responsible for protecting their credentials and promptly reporting suspected unauthorized access.

8. Your choices

You may update business preferences through the service, cancel marketing email using its unsubscribe method, and request access, correction, or deletion of personal information. Some information may be retained where needed for security, legal compliance, billing records, or source integrity.

To request access, correction, or deletion, email david@getdemosignal.com. We will verify the request and respond according to the laws that apply to the requester.

9. Children

DemoSignal is a business service and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes and contact

We may update this notice as the service, vendors, or legal requirements change. The effective date above will identify the latest version.
